London, Baby!

Going on my first week in London. I'm officially moved in (minus a pleasantly large shipping from IKEA due to arrive tomorrow) to my new living halls and starting my classes. With an unfortunate amount of materials to be bought, it looks like I'll be eating pasta for the next year at least. Naturally it's raining quite a bit but when the sun comes out it's quite nice! Having spent 6 weeks for an internship here last year, I was well acquainted with the transport system and shops, fortunately.
I can feel the pressure building to the amount of work that's about to be relentlessly dumped on me for the foreseeable future. Oh boy...

The view from the two windows in my dorm kitchen

Attending a fabulous dinner with a wonderful friend at possibly one of the greatest restaurants ever, La Perla! If you're ever in London and you love tequila and amazing Mexican food in a festive social environment, I strongly recommend you visit here! Dinner was followed by a casual night at a secret speakeasy bar hidden away between some restaurants with an unmarked door. They offered tasty (albeit pricey) drinks and a live jazz singer. Great for a casual cosy Sunday night :)

Mmmm, beef enchiladas (I don't remember what he had..)

Lovely mixed drinks in a dimly lit, comfy bar

New New Always Love New

A couple of shots of the newest additions to my wardrobe :). I got them a couple weeks ago and didn't have the time to post anything. Please note that the second photo is both of me I just did a quick half-assed Photoshop blend for fun since they were taken in the same spot... or maybe she's my evil twin?

New summer shoes from Jeffrey Campbell!

New white pants from United Colours of Benetton! (it's still too hot out to wear these lol)

Horses Horses

Finally found a fabulous stables to ride at during my stay here in the US of A! This barn is filled with many amazing horses and I've had the privilege of riding a few already. For any of you experienced riders in love with Saddlebred horses and located in the southern parts of Wisconsin, I highly recommend John Willis Stables!

Myself riding Secret Fascination - 3 years old and already a rock star!

Happy Independence Day!

Today is the 4th of July and a day to celebrate with lots of alcohol and dangerous amounts of fireworks! A perfect mix :). To celebrate this blistering hot day, I went a little patriotic.

My hand-painted nails for the holiday :)
(a little sloppy I know but it's not easy freehand!)

My new America leggings!

Mallorca Photography

Some randomly taken and randomly edited photos I took in Palma de Mallorca. It really is such a beautiful place! There was a wedding taking place where my dad and I were walking so I stole a couple shots :).

Please note that while my photography may not be professional or perfect, they are still copyrighted to me and any use of them must be with my consent. Thank you.

In-between my days in sunny Mallorca, I took a quick week trip to Stockholm. Surprisingly enough, the weather was quite nice and all the trees were in bloom. Unfortunately I didn't have my Nikon with me to take some decent photos so phone pictures had to suffice.

Our purpose for going was my grandfather's 85th birthday. We celebrated with a variety of outstanding dishes prepared by my mother and grandmother, and finished with two of my homemade cakes :)

Nails can be a wonderful accessory! I love to play around with ideas, basic, new and daring. A couple snapshots of my latest experiments. I'm still only a newbie at nail painting with no special kits or tools, I think I can still get by! Just gotta be creative :)

Oh, Luxury

Palma is definitely the home to many a wealthy fellow. The ports lined with million Euro yachts and the streets lined with million Euro cars. Needless to say the breath-taking homes speak for themselves, lined with marble and big glass windows. This cosy little island of luxury is a place to be appreciated!

Yachts in the port

New Ring :)

It's always nice to find a piece of jewelry unique, adorable and fashionable all at the same time. Nothing beats a little kitty hugging your finger :)

Palma de Mallorca!

After spending one month in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin enjoying warm weather and spending a few weekends with my wonderful man, I have moved my residence to Palma, Spain for the next 2 months! With slightly cool, but wonderfully sunny days, I am settling into a cute flat with a big terrace overlooking hills of houses, trees and a sprawling ocean.

View from my window :)

And, of course, food! I have had some of the most wonderful food here including a pizza in the shape of the heart (because the waiter thought my mother and I were pretty girls :).)

Beef carpaccio with garlic alli-oli and ruccula, baked goat cheese with grilled veggies and mussels in white wine with diced vegetables.

Going Home!

This is my last weekend in Macau! I have started the (hopeless) packing process. I am absolutely overwhelmed. It seems I may have to send on bag via DHL back to Chicago due to it being overweight...and not everything is packed yet. Oops! So the most important things will go in one suitcase and the other one will simply have to arrive in a week (oh the heartache!).
The weather here has been depressing and sunless. I have been unable to see across the water in close to 2 weeks with the heavy fog and humidity. I'm hoping for lots of snow and sunshine in Chicago! For now I must rest. Packing an excessive amount of clothing and accessories (amongst which I realized I have accumulated about 10 pairs of shoes here...) can be very exhausting! But I will be home on monday I can relax and be happy :)

Japanese Strawberries

Easily the most delicious strawberries you'll ever taste in your life. Probably some of the most expensive too at about 4 USD a piece. They're quite big but it's difficult to see that in the picture.
