The Days Keep Rollin'

Much has happened since my last few blog posts! 3 months of pattern-cutting classes, illustration classes, essay-prep lectures on object analysis, plagiarism, product creativity and more... I handed in a 3 paged essay based on an antique ring, a 20+ paged illustration book of art based on that object and a 95-paged technical file on every dart manipulation, sleeve type and body shape we learned. Needless to say I was thrilled when the holiday finally began!

Christmas break was spent wasting away in front of a beautiful fireplace at home in Chicago with riding my lovely mare 3 times a week. I did some snowboarding when I could but sadly the snow was poor and my holiday was all too short!

Holiday Baking

London, Baby!

Going on my first week in London. I'm officially moved in (minus a pleasantly large shipping from IKEA due to arrive tomorrow) to my new living halls and starting my classes. With an unfortunate amount of materials to be bought, it looks like I'll be eating pasta for the next year at least. Naturally it's raining quite a bit but when the sun comes out it's quite nice! Having spent 6 weeks for an internship here last year, I was well acquainted with the transport system and shops, fortunately.
I can feel the pressure building to the amount of work that's about to be relentlessly dumped on me for the foreseeable future. Oh boy...

Attending a fabulous dinner with a wonderful friend at possibly one of the greatest restaurants ever, La Perla! If you're ever in London and you love tequila and amazing Mexican food in a festive social environment, I strongly recommend you visit here! Dinner was followed by a casual night at a secret speakeasy bar hidden away between some restaurants with an unmarked door. They offered tasty (albeit pricey) drinks and a live jazz singer. Great for a casual cosy Sunday night :)

New New Always Love New

Please note that the second photo is both of me I just did a quick half-assed Photoshop blend for fun since they were taken in the same spot... or maybe she's my evil twin?

Rockstars

These two girls are my newest rockstars! Full sisters Secret Fascination and Charlize Theron, purebred American Saddlebreds. Two Park Pleasure darlings nothing but fun to ride :)

Horses Horses

Finally found a fabulous stables to ride at during my stay here in the US of A! This barn is filled with many amazing horses and I've had the privilege of riding a few already. For any of you experienced riders in love with Saddlebred horses and located in the southern parts of Wisconsin, I highly recommend John Willis Stables!

Happy Independence Day!

Today is the 4th of July and a day to celebrate with lots of alcohol and dangerous amounts of fireworks! A perfect mix :). To celebrate this blistering hot day, I went a little patriotic.

London College of Fashion

I finally received my letter of acceptance! So very exciting for me. I actually got it a week or two ago but better late than never :). I start end of September and get to spend a lovely 4 years (3 excluding work year) studying Fashion Design and Development in the heart of the wonderful city of London. Woo for me! <3 Now I just gotta cross my fingers I can get a dorm room....heh heh.
